Hairspray Dance Off!!
New Line Cinemas and Arthur Murray Franchised Dance Studio teamed up for the premiere of the hit movie "Hairspray"! After the Minneapolis movie premiere of Hairspray at the Mall of America, New Line Cinemas put on an incredible afternoon of fun, music, hairstyles and dancing. Hundreds of people turned out to enjoy the movie and the Arthur Murray dancers from both our Minneapolis and St. Paul studios. We had an incredible opening number and a great dance class after our "Hairspray Dance Competition!" Many of the audience members and a number of our students showed up and entered the competition. The top three contestants were Arthur Murray Couples from both of our incredible Twin City studios!! And the winning couple was Richard Nystrom and Zhuojing Liu from our Minneapolis Studio. They did a great job dancing and the audience chose them as the top winners of the day! Our winning couple won a $500 cash prize from New Line Cinemas.
